A brief “Hello!” from the ALIEN team

Greetings!

It appears that through a series of strange and highly coincedental events, you have arrived at the newly created blog of the ALIEN project. “ALIEN!?”, you say, “What the hell does that stand for?”.  Well, I kindly ask you to temporarily relocate your gaze to the far North of this very page: “ALtitude Imaging Entering Near-space”. Yes, I know, you are still feeling ever so slightly perplexed by this rather forced acronym. However, despair not! Help is at hand! Stay tuned, and you may just come to understand what links three GCSE students, a giant latex balloon and the chilly morning air of the Stratosphere.
