Workshop 1.5 – Picture Post

To show you what I’ve been doing since Workshop 1, here is a large serving of pictures, and a video of the hacked shutter in action.

Hooking it up for the second time, I did a few test runs, and in order to keep the coordinates of my house safe I won’t post the logs. However, I did get info on the format of the NMEA sentences and extracted the information relevant to us. The Lassen iQ only transmits 2 sentences out of the box, and although you can configure it otherwise with TSIP, we’ve kept it just sending Fix and Velocity info.
